«Modelos a seguir» is a series of short documentaries by the Spanish brand OOTO. This episode tells the story of Julen and Amaia from Gravity Wave. Two people who wanted to make a difference by creating a sustainable and circular business model that gives new life to plastic waste, mainly fishing nets collected from the sea.

The piece is divided into two main parts: in the first we aimed to evoke a sense of ocean depth through the use of dense synth pads (Juno-106 run through very large reverbs) and heavily processed Mellotron layers. In the second part, we introduced some arpeggiated synth lines and distorted synth chord layers – also processed through large reverbs – to add some momentum. For this, we employed both the Juno-106 and Roland SH-101. The distant percussion layers were built with the MFB-522 drum machine, sometimes run through a Space Echo.
