Mitte is a sound design and genre-bending music studio based in Madrid. Our philosophy focuses on enhancing the visual narrative and sonic identity of each project by treating sound and music as an organic process — blending acoustic instruments, synthesizers, foley, and field recordings.

Mitte serves as a creative space for developing original music and sound design, as well as for audio mixing, editing, and post-production. We collaborate closely with directors, artists, and brands to craft distinctive sonic strategies that merge composition, design, and storytelling, spanning projects in film, advertising, exhibitions, and other visual arts.

Projects

Director:

David Corrochano & Manuel Alesanco

Work:

Music & mix

Type:

Documentary film

Description:

Mazun, a name that was once used to refer to Oman, is a journey that places the unknown Sultanate of Oman on the map, exploring its diverse landscapes and rich traditions.

We composed the original music for the 9 chapters of this short documentary, directed by Manuel Alesanco and David Corrochano, with the support of the Ministry of Information of the Sultanate of Oman and the Embassy of Oman in Spain, employing analog synths (Juno-106 and Roland SH-101), acoustic piano, Mellotron and cello.

For this particular chapter, which focuses on the ancient pottery craft in Oman, the goal was to create a relatively “wet” atmosphere through the use of pads, contrasting with the “dryness” of the voice and the ambient sounds captured on location by the crew, thereby highlighting the character’s narrative. To achieve this, the Juno-106 pad patches were run through a Space Echo and processed with a large and dense reverb. An arpeggiated synth line was also added to build momentum with the SH-101.
